Barron River Rafting from Port Douglas
The Barron River half day tour is a fantastic White Water Rafting experience. Choose from Morning & Afternoon sessions. The Barron River is just 40 minutes drive from Port Douglas. Minimum age is 12 years.
Please Note: Afternoon Rafting is the only option until further notice.

Pick-up and Departure times
The Barron River is just 40 minutes drive from Port Douglas.
Pick up Port Douglas : 1:15pm daily
Return Port Douglas : 6:30pm
Self Drive Option
For a self-drive, meet the group at the Lake Placid Car Park at 2:30pm.
Allow 1 Hours drive from Port Douglas to Lake Placid
What to Bring
- Wear swimming costume under your clothes
- Towel
- Leave all jewelery and valuables at your accommodation
- Change of clothes
- Water resistant sunscreen
- Secure Footwear - lace up shoes or sandals that will get wet
